3 Oxnard Men Arrested For Possession Of Stolen Property

OXNARD (CBSLA.com) — Three Oxnard men were in custody Friday after being found in possession of a stolen property yesterday afternoon.

According to the Oxnard Police Department, officers conducted directed patrols around 4:00 p.m. Thursday in several neighborhoods in East Oxnard in response to a rash of violent crimes over the past several weeks.

Police explained that three adult males were contacted in the 500 block of Pacific Avenue while talking to each other in a pickup truck.

Sergio Cupa, 31, of Oxnard, who had previously been served with a Colonia Chiques civil gang injunction, was arrested after being found to be in possession of stolen property.

Authorities said David Mosqueda, 45, of Oxnard, who is a post-release offender, was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of narcotics paraphernalia, and a post-release offender hold.

Angel Hernandez, 37, arrested for possession of a stolen firearm after being found with a loaded .40 caliber handgun that was stolen during a burglary in the city of Santa Paula.
