3 Murder Suspects Arrested After Police Witness Deadly Shooting In South LA

SOUTH LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police arrested three suspects Wednesday after witnessing a deadly shooting take place in South Los Angeles.

Officers responded just after 2 a.m. to the intersection of MLK Boulevard and Normandie Avenue for a report of a man armed with a gun, according to police.

Upon their arrival, police say they witnessed the suspects shoot and kill a man.

Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His identity was being withheld pending family notification.

The suspects fled from the scene, leading officers on a short pursuit to the 1100 block of 46th Street.

Two of the suspects were arrested at the scene.

The third suspect barricaded himself inside of a home, causing evacuations in the area.

He was taken into custody around 5 a.m., police said.

Detectives recovered a gun on the ground.

The motive for the deadly shooting remains under investigation.
