Sheriff: 3 Lancaster Teens Arrested For Throwing Eggs At Homeless Woman As She Prayed

LANCASTER (CBSLA.com) — Authorities have arrested three Antelope Valley teens for throwing raw eggs at an elderly homeless woman as she prayed, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said Tuesday.

A patrolling sergeant witnessed a male teen throw the eggs at the victim while she was sitting on a sidewalk around 1 p.m. Monday near Sierra Highway and Jackson Avenue in Lancaster.

"The victim was struck directly on her torso and she complained of pain," but did not need medical treatment, Dep. Miguel Ruiz said.

The suspect and two other male teens in a nearby vehicle were arrested and booked for felony assault and conspiracy.

Additional video evidence and items gathered in the subject's vehicle during the investigation, including a mask, glove, backpacks, spray paint and a paintball gun, "leads deputies to believe other prior incidents had occurred," Dep. Ruiz said.

Any additional victims are urged to come forward by contacting the Lancaster Sheriff's Station at (661)948-8466.
