4 Killed In Fiery San Bernardino Car Crash

SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — Four women were killed Thursday night in a car crash in San Bernardino.

The solo-vehicle accident happened shortly after 8:30 p.m. at 5th and Cooley streets.

The driver of a 1997 Toyota Camry was traveling at a high rate of speed when she veered to the left to try and pass another car, lost control and crashed through a steel barricade over a wash. Two passengers were ejected before the vehicle burst into flames.

Three of the occupants were pronounced dead at the scene and include Germany Brizick Lee Willis, 24, and 36-year-old Kristy Marie Orti-Media, both of Highland.

The identity of the third victim who died at the scene was not released.

A fourth victim, 24-year-old Joy Terri Doss, of San Bernardino, was transported in critical condition to a hospital where she was later died.

It was unclear who was driving.

The CHP was investigating the cause of the crash.
