3 Injured Badly After SUV Crashes Into Tree In Granada Hills

GRANADA HILLS (CBSLA.com)   —  Three young men were injured -- two critically and one seriously -- Sunday when their compact sport utility vehicle slammed into a tree in Granada Hills.

All three were trapped inside the vehicle.

The accident happened around 12:50 p.m. in the 14400 block of San Fernando Road, near the Balboa Boulevard overpass.

The victims were taken to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The crash closed the Balboa Boulevard off-ramp from the southbound Golden State (5) Freeways, reported the CHP.
