3 Injured After Car Careens Off 5 Freeway Into Boyle Heights Off-Ramp Wall

BOYLE HEIGHTS (CBSLA.com)  —   Three people were injured Sunday afternoon when a car careened off the 5 Freeway and into a wall in Boyle Heights.

The fire department reports the vehicle left the northbound lane of the freeway at Calzona Street and crashed into a wall near the off-ramp.

Officials said the three injured were adults who were all inside the car.

A male and female were described as critical with a male also being described in fair condition, according to Brian Humphrey with the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Gordon Spencer, reporting from Sky2, said the vehicle was a black Mercedes SUV.
