3 Hurt In Manhattan Beach When Car Being Pursued By Police Slams Into 3 Vehicles

MANHATTAN BEACH (CBSLA.com)   —  Three people were hurt Friday evening when a stolen car suspect slammed into three cars in Manhattan Beach at Sepulveda and 35th Street.

The incident happened just before 9 p.m.

A Manhattan Beach officer on patrol reportedly spotted a stolen vehicle driving through a residential section of Manhattan Beach.

The officer tried to pull the vehicle over and that is when the chase began.

After the suspect's vehicle crashed into the three cars, it also hit a guard rail. The driver and a passenger took off on foot.

Police quickly caught up with the suspects -- a male and a female -- and a fight ensued.

The two suspects were taken to a local hospital to treat their injuries. One officer had minor injuries and declined transport to the hospital.

Three people were injured when the car slammed into theirs but they also did not need hospitalization.
