3 Hurt In Fall 'Greater Than 20 Feet' At Westlake Construction Site

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Three people were injured Tuesday - including two critically - after falling more than 20 feet at a construction site in the Westlake area, authorities said.

Paramedics responded to the 600 block of South Witmer Street just before 10 a.m., according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.

All three patients were males aged 30, 31, and 59, and were considered to be in critical condition to the height of the fall, Stewart said.

The victims fell from scaffolding and debris fell on them once they were on the ground, according to Stewart.

Firefighters quickly treated and transported all three patients.
