3 Firefighters Injured In NoHo House Fire Sparked By Christmas Tree

NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) —  Officials said three firefighters were injured in a San Fernando Valley house fire that was sparked by a Christmas tree.

The fire was reported around 3:45 a.m. at a home in the 11300 block of West Delano Street in North Hollywood, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The homeowner, along with three other residents, woke up to smoke and were able to escape without injury.

"You don't know what to do," said resident Anna Kacanujian. "I just hardly took my son out."

All three firefighters were treated at a local hospital for minor burns and released.

The fire, which was deemed electrical in nature, was declared a knockdown at 4:12 a.m.

A damages were estimated at $240,000, Erik Scott of the LAFD said.
