3 Families Displaced In Highland Park Fire

HIGHLAND PARK (CBSLA.com) — A fire at a Highland Park fourplex displaced three families Thursday, officials said.

The fire was reported just before 4 a.m. in a converted 19th century craftsman home in the 4200 block of N. Marmion Way, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

Officials believe the fire was sparked by a water heater in a ground-floor unit.

No injuries were reported and the fire was knocked down by 4:39 a.m.

All but one of the units suffered heavy damage, according to the LAFD.
