3-alarm fire at commercial building in Lynwood

Firefighters responded to a three-alarm fire inside a commercial building in Lynwood Wednesday morning, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The fire was reported around 8:10 a.m. in the 5400 block of Cortland Street, near the intersection of the 710 and 105 Freeways, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

SkyCAL flew over the scene and could see massive plumes of smoke coming from the large warehouse.

Multiple fire stations responded to help contain the flames. Crews quickly went into defensive mode as the roof to the building collapsed.

The warehouse was home to a recycling business filled with used clothing, which was reportedly filled with chemicals.

No injuries have been reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
