3.8-Magnitude Quake Strikes Big Bear Area

BIG BEAR CITY (CBSLA.com) — A 3.8-magnitude earthquake struck the Big Bear area Monday afternoon, according to the U.S Geological Survey.

The temblor, which had a depth of 4.7 miles, struck at 1:08 p.m. Its epicenter was 1 mile east-southeast of Big Bear City, 19 miles northeast of Yucaipa and 21 miles east of Lake Arrowhead.

There were no reports of damages or injuries.
