3.0-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Near Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — A 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck Saturday near Hollywood, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The temblor hit at 10:13 a.m. at a depth of five miles.

The epicenter was located approximately two miles southeast of Hollywood, three miles from Los Angeles and four miles from Glendale and West Hollywood.

Earthquakes of that magnitude usually don't cause damage.
