2nd Woman Arrested In Fatal Beating Outside Santa Ana Nightclub

SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — A second suspect has been arrested in connection with the beating death of a 23-year-old woman outside an Orange County nightclub.

Santa Ana police held a press conference Friday asking the public's help in identifying a third person of interest in the case.

Annie Hung "Kim" Pham, 23, of Westminster, was brutally beaten shortly after midnight Saturday outside The Crosby Bar and Nightclub, 400 N. Broadway, according to officials.

Pham, who was pronounced dead Tuesday, died of complications from blunt force trauma to the head, according to an autopsy report.

The first suspect arrested, 25-year-old Vanesa Tapia Zavala was taken into custody Monday and pleaded not guilty Wednesday to second-degree murder. She is being held in lieu of $1 million bail.

Police originally said they were looking for four more suspects, but after further investigation and the arrest of the second unidentified suspect, they said only one was outstanding.

Anyone with information about the third person of interest or any other information was asked to contact the Santa Ana Police Department.
