Power Restored In Hollywood After Person Climbs Power Pole, Is Critically Injured

HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say power has been restored in Hollywood after a person climbed onto a power pole and was critically injured.

The incident near the 101 Freeway and Western Avenue was reported just before 8 p.m. Wednesday and resulted in a power outage.

Authorities said 2,700 customers were left without power in the area of Western and La Mirada avenues.

DWP crews arrived on scene and fully restored power as of 10:20 p.m.

The injured individual was taken to a hospital in critical condition, authorities said.

No further information was immediately available.
