$250,000 Worth Of Counterfeit Major League Baseball Jerseys Seized From El Monte Shop

EL MONTE (CBSLA.com) — Counterfeit pro sports team jerseys worth about a quarter of a million dollars were seized Thursday at an El Monte tattoo-supply business.

The seizure was made after the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Counterfeit and Piracy Enforcement Team served a search warrant at TNS Tattoo Supply at 9866 Garvey Ave.

The team had spent a month investigating sales of counterfeit jerseys throughout the San Gabriel Valley area, according to Deputy Trina Schrader of the Sheriff's Information Bureau.

"A search of the location revealed approximately $250,000 worth of counterfeit jerseys with L.A. Dodgers, L.A. Rams and L.A. Angels logos printed on them," Schrader said.
