24-Year-Old Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Murdering His Ex-Girlfriend, Man In Winnetka

WINNETKA (CBSLA.com) — A 24-year-old man suspected of murdering his ex-girlfriend and a man in Winnetka has been arrested, police said Tuesday.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Bryan Anthony "Hammond" Gonzales was arrested outside of the city of Los Angeles this morning.

Gonzales is accused of fatally shooting Jerrad Scott, 24, of La Mesa, and his 22-year-old ex-girlfriend -- who's identity is being withheld pending family notification -- around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday at a home located in the 7600 block of Oso Avenue.

Authorities were notified of the incident after the female victim called 911 and reported her ex-boyfriend was armed with a gun inside of her home.

Upon their arrival, officers located Scott and the woman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced both victims dead at the scene.

Officials have not clarified if the victims were romantically involved.

The investigation is ongoing.
