20 Pounds Of Crystal Meth Found At Pomona Apartment

POMONA (CBSLA.com) — Police responding to a report of shots fired at a Pomona apartment found a weapon and 20 pounds of crystal methamphetamine, authorities said Monday.

Officers arrived at 11:48 p.m. Sunday at an apartment in the 2300 block of North Towne Avenue, Pomona police Corporal Richard Martinez said. The officers made contact with the residents of the apartment where the shots were fired.

"During a search of the home, officers located a .22-caliber pistol and approximately 20 pounds of crystal methamphetamine," Martinez said.

One person was arrested on gun charges. Police identified him as Jose Real Velazquez.
