2 Women Wounded In Drive-By Shooting Outside Artesia Club

ARTESIA (CBSLA) – Two women suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to the leg while waiting to enter a nightclub Saturday morning in Artesia.

The shooting occurred a little after 12:35 a.m. outside La Mirage, 17104 Pioneer Blvd., said Lt. Michael Thomas of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Lakewood station.

The women were among a crowd of people at the entrance when the suspect, driving away in a white Dodge Ram pickup truck, fired several shots, Thomas said.

Paramedics rushed both women to an area hospital, he said.

The sheriff's Lakewood station asked anyone with information regarding the shooting to call them at 562-623-3500.
