2 Women Killed, 2 More Badly Hurt In Claremont When Car Collides With Light Pole

CLAREMONT (CBSLA.com) — Two women were killed and two others hurt early Saturday when the car they were in spun out of control and hit a light pole, according to Claremont police.

The accident occurred at 12:50 a.m. when their car was heading eastbound on the 300 block of West Foothill Boulevard, Lt. Jason Walters said.

Three of the women were trapped inside the 2013 Kia sedan and had to be extricated.

Two women were hospitalized in serious condition, Walters said.

One woman was declared dead at the scene and another later died at a hospital.

The victims' identities were not yet available.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
