3 Taken Into Custody After Long Beach Police Respond To Report Of Armed Robbery

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Authorities have apprehended three potential suspects after responding to a call of armed robbery in Long Beach.

The Long Beach Police Department said officers received a call just before 4 p.m. and responded to the 400 block of South Cowles Street.

When officers arrived, police said they encountered the possible suspects, and an officer-involved shooting occurred.

Police reported that no one was struck by gunfire.

Two people were taken into custody immediately and a third was apprehended just after 5 p.m.

An investigation is continuing.
