2 Rushed To Trauma Center In Bassett After Being Slashed By Box Cutter

BASSETT (CBSLA.com)  — Two people were rushed to a trauma center in Bassett Thursday evening after being attacked by a suspect wielding a box cutter.

The incident happened at San Angelo Park near San Angelo Avenue and Proctor Street, authorities said.

The victims were described as two males, one 15 and the other 31.

It was unclear if the victims knew each other or the suspect.

The injuries to the victims are not considered life-threatening.

CBS 2's Rachel Kim reported from the scene and said a suspect was in custody.

The weapon was also recovered.

A motive for the attack was not revealed.
