2 Reportedly Injured In Explosion, Commerce House Fire

COMMERCE (CBSLA.com) — An explosion and house fire were reported in Commerce Wednesday evening.

Two people were reportedly injured.

Stu Mundel, reporting in Sky9, said LA County Fire received a report of an explosion and a fire coming from a home in the 2300 block of Ayers Avenue.

The injured reportedly told police they were inside the house that was involved.

Officials said they were "burn patients" but the extent of their injuries was not immediately clear.

An investigation into the cause of the explosion is on-going.

Mundel said investigators believed the homeowners might have been involved in the making of honey oil, the production of a marijuana-based inhalant.
