2 Pedestrians Fatally Struck By Pickup Truck In Norwalk Identified

NORWALK (CBSLA.com) — Authorities have publicly identified two people who were fatally struck by a pickup truck in Norwalk.

Rosibel Montoya, 20, and Giovanni Chaidez, 23, both of Norwalk, were struck as they crossed the 13000 block of Rosecrans Avenue just after midnight Saturday, according to the coroner's office and the sheriff's department.

The male driver was not named, according to sheriff's Sgt. Eric Arias.

A videographer at the scene said the truck appeared to have been traveling eastbound on Rosecrans when it struck pedestrians, who were crossing the road together. It then slammed into three parked cars.
