2 Men Suspected Of Tagging Over 50 Fountain Valley Surfaces In Custody

FOUNTAIN VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — Two 20-year-old men were in custody Saturday for allegedly vandalizing several stores in a Fountain Valley shopping center.

According to the Fountain Valley Police Department, officers conducted a patrol check around 1:06 a.m. Friday on a suspicious vehicle parked near the rear of GameStop, located in the 16100 block of Harbor Boulevard.

As an officer approached the vehicle, two male suspects ran southbound through the parking lot, and headed towards the front of the business.

A preliminary investigation revealed that Joseph Navarro, 20, of Orange, and Johnny Martinez, 20, of Santa Ana, had spray painted multiple locations throughout the shopping center.

Officers explained about 51 separate surfaces were tagged in the area.

Police were able to locate Navarro and Martinez in front of the business, and peacefully detained them.

Both men were booked into the Orange County Jail on felony vandalism charges.
