2 Sought In Connection With Fatal Beating Of 44-Year-Old Man

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities are asking for the public's help in locating two men wanted in connection with the fatal beating of a 44-year-old man in April.

The Los Angeles Police Department said in a written statement that the victim, identified as John Lubben, was repeatedly punched and kicked and was bludgeoned with a bicycle rim.

Lubben was subsequently dragged from the home and was thrown onto several trash cans in the yard of the property, police said.

According to authorities, the incident unfolded on April 21, 2014, at a group-home where the victim and the two suspects lived.

Lubben was taken to a hospital for treatment of a skull fracture.

He died less than two days after he was admitted.

Arrest warrants have since been issued for the suspects, identified by police as Martin Santana and Hugo Parra, the statement said.

A news conference is expected to be held Tuesday at which point police said they plan to release the suspects' pictures.

No further information was available.
