2 LAPD Officers Suffer Minor Injuries In 3-Car Crash

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Two Los Angeles police officers suffered minor injuries in a three-vehicle crash that occurred as they were joining a pursuit of an alleged car thief.

Lt. Charles Springer says the collision happened Tuesday night at the intersection of Crenshaw and Exposition boulevards.

Springer says the officers were in a police cruiser heading north on Crenshaw when they were struck by an eastbound car. The force of the crash sent the cruiser spinning into another car.

The officers were hospitalized with minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.

Officials say the stolen car chase ended about a mile away with an arrest of a suspect.
