1 Killed, Another Injured In South LA Shooting, Suspect At Large

SOUTH LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police Saturday were on the scene of a shooting involving two male victims.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers were dispatched to E. 54th Street and S. Central Avenue just before 6:30 p.m. for report of a shooting.

Police said that the men had just left a bike shop when the shooting occurred.

They were both transported to a hospital for treatment of their injuries.

One victim was shot in the leg and underwent surgery while the other suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died at the hospital.

According to officials, the man who died was between the ages of 30 and 40-years-old.

Officers are searching for the suspect involved in this crime. No description has been released.

It was unclear if the shooting was gang-related as no motive has been determined.
