Two people have been killed and another was injured after a fiery Woodland Hills two-car crash.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the tragic crash happened at about 9 p.m. in the 23100 block of West Mulholland Drive when 21-year-old Kevin Gonzales rear-ended a Ford Mustang. Police said that Gonzales was speeding at the time and possibly driving under the influence.

The impact was so strong that it caused both cars to burst into flames. While the two men inside the Ford Mustang were trapped inside their car, Gonzales was able to escape shortly after the crash.

"I heard the people in the car screaming," said witness Ariel Olivo. "It was kind of like a blood-curdling scream of somebody in pain and we couldn't do anything about it."

Olivo said the victims were honking the horn for help.

Firefighters declared two of the victims dead at the scene. Officials said that Gonzales is in good condition but was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
