Toddler, 2 Others Injured When Pursuit Ends In Violent Crash In South LA

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A toddler and two others were injured Thursday night when a pursuit ended in a violent crash with a bystander vehicle.

The wreck happened in South Los Angeles at the intersection of Main Street and Manchester Avenue.

Police said three people, including a 3-year-old girl, were taken to a hospital with minor injuries after their car was plowed into by suspects involved in a high-speed chase.

"We understand a toddler was inside that vehicle and that toddler is injured," reported Sky 9's Stu Mundel, who was over the scene.

Police said the incident unfolded around 9:30 p.m. about 30 blocks from the crash site. They said they were chasing a suspected stolen vehicle with three men inside.

Police said the suspect vehicle, described as an Acura, was speeding and plowed through the intersection when it collided into a Toyota with a family inside.

The three suspects were quickly apprehended, police said.
