2 Hurt, Service Suspended When Metro Train Slams Into Vehicle In South LA

SOUTH LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Two motorists reportedly suffered minor injuries when a Metro Exposition Line train crashed into a vehicle Friday night in South L.A.

The collision was reported at 8:08 p.m. in the 2600 block of Exposition Boulevard, near Seventh Avenue, according to Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The injured parties were being evaluated at the scene. He said he didn't know if they were taken to a hospital.

No one aboard the train was hurt.

Metro reported that service on the Expo Line was suspended between the Crenshaw and Western stations after the crash.
