2 Hospitalized After Car-To-Car Shooting In South LA

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Two people were hospitalized Wednesday after a car-to-car shooting in South Los Angeles.

The shooting between a Mercedes-Benz and an SUV took place just before 5 p.m. at 84th Street and Vermont Avenue, officials said.

Both vehicles fled the scene.

A 24-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl, who were inside the Mercedes, were injured.

Both were taken to a local hospital where the man was in serious but stable condition and the teenager was put on life support.

Police say everyone involved in the incident was a gang member.

An investigation was ongoing.
