2 killed in multi-car crash in Baldwin Hills identified

2 dead in multi-vehicle crash in Baldwin Hills

Authorities on Monday identified a man and woman who were killed in a multi-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in the Baldwin Hills-Crenshaw area.

The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner identified the pair as David Coleman II, 52, whose city of residence is unknown; and Karrington Coleman, 23, of Norwalk. Their relationship to one another was not immediately known.

The crash occurred around 3:30pm in the 5000 block of West Coliseum Street. The two victims died at the scene, Los Angeles Fire Department said. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Police said a Mercedes collided with a BMW, with the Mercedes being flipped on its roof.  

The driver and passenger in the other car were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
