2 Charged With Kidnapping, Murdering 3-Week-Old Baby

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Two suspects have been charged with kidnapping and murdering a 3-week-old baby from Long Beach.

Giseleangelique D'Milian and Anthony McCall made their first court appearance Friday afternoon, along with a third defendant, Todd Boudreaux. Bail for D'Milian and McCall was set at $5 million, and at $1 million for Boudreaux. None of the defendants entered a plea Friday.

A fourth suspect had been arrested, D'Milian's daughter, Charisse Shelton, but prosecutors said there was not enough evidence to charge her.

Prosecutors say D'Milian was the ringleader in a plot to kidnap Eliza De La Cruz from her Long Beach home.

The baby's body was later found in a trash bin in San Diego County.

Prosecutors say D'Milian organized the kidnapping because she wanted to convince her married boyfriend that she was pregnant with his twins.

The three defendants are scheduled to appear in court next on April 30.
