2 Charged After 90-Minute High-Speed Pursuit Ends In Anaheim

ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) — Charges are being leveled against two people who are suspected of leading authorities on a high-speed pursuit through multiple cities on Friday night.

The unidentified suspects, described as a man and a woman, were booked for various charges.

Corporal Andy Luong of the Buena Park Police Department said the male driver was booked on suspicion of felony evasion, child endangerment, and for prior warrants.

The female passenger was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment.

The pair was taken into custody around 11:15 p.m. following a 90-minute pursuit through various areas, including Bell Gardens, Monrovia, and East Los Angeles.

Police said the incident started as a traffic stop for an alleged speeding violation at Stanton and La Palma avenues in Buena Park.

Luong said there were three juveniles inside the vehicle ranging in age from 8 to 16.
