2 Big Rig Crashes Snarl Traffic On 10 Freeway In Pomona

POMONA (CBSLA.com) — The eastbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway was closed Tuesday morning after two separate big rig crashes.

The first accident happened around 2:15 a.m. when two trucks collided on the eastbound 10 at North White Avenue in Pomona, the California Highway Patrol said.

One person was injured and transported to a local hospital.

A SigAlert was issued with the HOV lane reopening just before 4:30 a.m.

The second collision happened around 3 a.m. approximately three miles west of the first accident, near the Orange (57) Freeway, officials said.

According to the CHP, the crash involved a big rig and a box truck.

One person was also injured.

The 10 Freeway was closed at the accident site and traffic was funneled to an exit ramp.
