2.7-Magnitude Quake Strikes Near Encino

ENCINO (CBSLA.com) — A 2.7-magnitude earthquake struck near Encino on Thursday night.

The temblor hit at 7:17 p.m. The epicenter was 1 mile east of Encino, 7 miles west of Universal City, 7 miles northwest of Beverly Hills and 8 miles northwest of West Hollywood, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

There were no reports of any damage or injuries.

It's believed the small quake was an aftershock to Monday's 4.4-magnitude quake that shook the Southland.
