191 Dogs Rescued From Puppy Mill Available For Adoption Beginning Monday

DEVORE (CBSLA.com) — The nearly 200 dogs rescued from a puppy mill are ready for adoption beginning Monday.

The 191 dogs have been at the San Bernardino County Animal Shelter since February 6. Their owner has still not been identified.

On Saturday, some of the dogs will be taken to neighboring shelters in Upland, Rancho Cucamonga and Pomona. Those facilities have spay and neuter capabilities.

The following dogs will be available at these locations, officials said Friday.

"We have had overwhelming interest in these dogs by the community," said Brian Cronin, Chief of San Bernardino County Animal Care and Control. "People have been inquiring every day wanting to know the status of this case and when the animals may be available for adoption. We are thankful to our neighboring shelters for stepping in to help these dogs be adopted by loving families."
