19 Years Ago: Iconic Rapper Notorious B.I.G. Murdered

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) - It's been 19 years since the Notorious B.I.G was killed March 9, 1997 on the corner of Wilshire and Fairfax.

The rapper, whose real name was Christopher Wallace, was leaving a Vibe Magazine party at the Petersen Automotive Museum in the Mid-Wilshire section of Los Angeles when he was murdered in a drive-by shooting.

Wallace's murderer has still not been identified.

Crazy to think what our music industry could have been if Christopher "Notorious B.I.G." Wallace hadn't left us before his time.

Two of Wallace's closest friends took to social media today to pay their respects.
