16-Year-Old Visiting From Beijing Missing In Claremont

CLAREMONT (CBSLA.com) —  Authorities are asking the public to help locate a missing 16-year-old visiting California from Beijing.

Jin Wuwei was last seen Friday near the Claremont Lodge in Claremont around 12:42 p.m. He voluntarily walked away from the hotel headed to an unknown destination.

He was carrying a backpack and didn't have a lot of money. He arrived in Claremont on February 11.

Wuwei doesn't have any friends or family in the area, according to his mother. She does say he is fluent in English.

The missing teen was last seen wearing a dark-colored hoodie and dark-colored sweats with a white line along the outer seam.

Wuwei is about 6 feet tall and weighs 140 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and is probably also wearing back rimmed eyeglasses.
