16-Year-Old Boy Shot By LA Deputies Treated For Graze Wound

EAST LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities have apprehended a 16-year-old boy involved in a Saturday night shooting with deputies.

The suspect allegedly fled the scene, triggering a major search in the area of Dennison Street and Townsend Avenue in East L.A., according to the L.A. County Sheriff's Department.

California Highway Patrol temporarily closed the 5 Freeway exit at Ditman Avenue for the search.

The teen was grazed by a bullet.

No deputies were injured.

The boy was found and arrested at 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

Officials have not said what caused the shooting.
