16-Year-Old Boy Dies After Being Shot Multiple Times In Carson

CARSON (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say they are continuing to investigate the shooting death of a teenage boy in Carson.

Deputies responded to a gunshot victim call just before 8:30 p.m. Friday in the 23400 block of South Avalon Boulevard.

When they arrived on scene, they located the victim described as a 16-year-old Hispanic teen.

He had been shot multiple times, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said in a news release.

The boy was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Deputies said the shooting appears to be gang-related.

No suspect information has been released.
