10-Acre Brush Fire Nears Homes In West Covina

WEST COVINA (CBSLA.com) — Crews responded Monday morning to a 10-acre brush fire moving uphill toward West Covina homes.

Approximateley 195 firefighters were called around 10:20 a.m. to Grand Avenue near Cameron Avenue, according to Rick Flores of the L.A. County Fire Department.

There are no evacuations at this time, but crews are examining homes in the area.

Around 10:40 a.m., the LACFD reported that a firefighter had been injured. That crew member was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
