Teen Killed, Another Critically Wounded In Pico-Union Shooting

PICO-UNION (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say a teen has been killed in a shooting in the Pico-Union area.

Another juvenile victim was also critically injured in the Sunday evening shooting, which a lieutenant said was possible gang-related.

Police responded to the area following an assault with a deadly weapon call near the intersection of Venice Boulevard and Hoover Street.

The surviving victim was transported to the hospital and was listed in critical condition.

The identity of the victims and genders were not immediately known.

Authorities said no suspects were in custody.
