14-Year-Old Accused Of Stabbing 8-Year-Old In Santa Paula

SANTA PAULA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities in Santa Paula say a 14-year-old is in custody for stabbing an 8-year-old.

Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of W. Harvard Boulevard in Teague Park Saturday around 3:30 p.m.

Authorities said they discovered an 8-year-old stabbing victim upon arrival.

A 14-year-old was identified as the suspect and taken into custody.

The victim was transported to Ventura County Medical Center. His wounds appear to be non life threatening, police said.

Santa Paula Police Department Detectives responded to further investigate the incident.

Due to the fact the victim and suspect are both juveniles, their names will not be released.
