14 Wounded In Drive-By Shooting Outside Party In Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD (AP) — Authorities say attackers have shot and wounded 14 people, two critically, in an attack on a crowd outside a house party in Bakersfield.

The Kern County Sheriff's Office says about 150 people were attending the party in Bakersfield when a car drove past shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday. Shots rang out and people standing in the street and in front of the home were hit.

Authorities say victims were shot in the arms, legs and chest. Two were critically injured but are expected to survive.

No arrests have been made and there's no immediate word on a motive for the attack.

Bakersfield is about 90 miles north of Los Angeles.
