11-Year-Old Riverside Boy Grazed By Bullet On Halloween

RIVERSIDE (CBS)  —  Authorities said an 11-year-old boy was grazed by a bullet on Halloween.

The boy was walking with his father in the 2300 block of Vermont Avenue just before 10 p.m. when gunfire was heard.

The boy was grazed in the leg, officials said.

The boy and his father were on their way to Bobby Bonds Park when the shot skinned the boy's left thigh, Riverside police Lt. Frank Assumma said.

No one was arrested in connection with the shooting.

There was no indication that neither the victim nor his father were targeted, Assumma said.

Authorities also do not believe the incident was gang-related.
