1,000-Pound Wall Falls On 2 Workers In Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Two workers were seriously injured Tuesday when a wall fell on them at a construction site in Hollywood.

Paramedics were sent to the 1700 block of North Las Palmas Avenue shortly after 10 a.m. and took the unidentified men to a hospital, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Co-workers managed to lift the wall off of the men and braced it before firefighters arrived. The wall is made of wood and weighs about 1,000 pounds, the LAFD reported.

The circumstances of the accident were under investigation.
