100 Gallons Of Diesel Spilled Onto NB 57 Freeway In Glendora

GLENDORA (CBSLA.com) — A diesel fuel spill from a big rig Thursday prompted the closure of three lanes on the Orange (57) Freeway in Glendora, as well as the transition from the northbound 57 to the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway, authorities said.

The spill was first reported in the northbound lanes at about 1 a.m., California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball said.

Caltrans workers were called to the scene to clean up the mess.

A SigAlert was issued for the roadway, plus the northbound 57 transition to the westbound Foothills (210) Freeway. CHP announced lanes reopened at 6:23 a.m.

No injuries were reported.
