15-Month-Old Girl Drowns In West Hills Pool
WEST HILLS (CBSLA.com) — A 15-month-old girl drowned in a residential swimming pool Friday evening.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department Topanga Division, officers were sent to the 8800 block of North Megan Avenue after family members found the child underwater around 5:45 p.m. Friday.
The child -- identified as Emily McIntire of Canoga Park -- was transported to a hospital where she later died.
The girl was pronounced dead around 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Officers said no arrests have been made as the incident was ruled an unfortunate accident.
